Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh is a family based business where the company name AH HUI Bak Kut Teh is came from the last word of the founder's chinese name HUI (辉) . The founder started his businees along with his brothers and sisters in a small town of Batu Pahat about 30 years ago. The first shop named Hup Heng Restaurant which located at Jalan Zebedah, Batu pahat. 

It was the first and biggest bak kut teh restaurant in Batu Pahat during that time. Many customers have to keep in queue to waiting to be served with an aromatic and delicious Bak Kut Teh.

Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh was established by Mr Boo Lian Hui in year 1983 with the assistance of his capable wife Mdm Siow, after leaving Hup Heng Bak Kut Teh. At the beginning, they having a hard time in running this business, but with their persistency, their business has picked up very quickly and became a well known Bak Kut Teh Restaurant within a few years time.

The founder himself have been running Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh in Batu Pahat for almost 30 years experience. Until today, many people has amazed with the marvellous and aromatic taste of Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh.

Meanwhile, Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh Melaka was established on 26th Jan 2010 which managed by Mr Boo Yong Sheng who is the son of Mr. Boo Lian Hui. After Mr. Boo Yong Sheng pursue his engineering degree in UK, his father has approached him to set up bak kut teh business in Melaka.

Although, Ah Hui Bak Kut Teh is considered as a Juvenile business, but it has been well known to Singaporean and Indonesians who frequent visit Melaka. Currently, he plan to expand their bat kut teh business to Indonesia where he has forecast this business has a good opportunity on that place.
